I don’t write much about my job on here, but this is a cool article about my company’s sabbatical benefit and specifically how our HR manager Lori used her first one. Every five years, we all get a three-month paid sabbatical. I used my first sabbatical to buy my first house and to finish writing my piece of shit novel, and I’ll be eligible for another one in July 2023, which I intend to use to spend a lot of time with Edith.
My company is pretty unreal in terms of the benefits it provides, at least for American companies (I got six months fully paid parental leave, for example), but of all of them, this is the most out there. We are very well treated.
